Mellenbye Station is located just 6.5 kilometres off the Sealed Morawa Yalgoo Road. If you are travelling from Perth the station is a four and a half hour drive. Roughly 430 kilometres. There are several routes you can choose if you coming up from Perth, for example, Dalwallinu-Perenjori-Morawa, or Via route 116 Moora- Carnamah- Morawa, or from the coast through Three Springs or Mingenew- Morawa. If you are travelling from the North on the coast we are approximately 210 kilometres from Geraldton via Mullewa or from Mt Magnet through Yalgoo it is also approximately 200 kilometres. There are two entrances to the station, the first of which at the southern border is a private entrance and it is located just after the cattle grid crossing at the Morawa and Yalgoo border. You cannot access the station stay through this entrance. This entrance is near the outback starts here sign on your left and there is a sign directing you to go another 10 kilometres on your right. Please travel a further 9 kilometres North to the Homestead Entrance. This Entrance is marked by signs with the words Mellenbye station stay and a road sign Mellenbye Homestead. As you drive in you will see the old tank and windmill which has information about the station. Please note we do not allow dogs on the property as indicated by the 1080 poison sign on the tank. The Station Stay entrance and entrance to the old homestead is located near the Northern boundary of the station. This entrance is 47.6 kilometres North from Morawa and approximately 77 kilometres from Yalgoo. GPS co-ordinates for the entrance are E 116.12.19 - S 28.49.59 If you are travelling north from Morawa on the Morawa Yalgoo Road, you will cross a cattle grid. The grid marks the end of the Morawa district and beginning of Yalgoo District. There are signs indicating that you are in Yalgoo, that the outback starts here and that the area is subject to 1080 wild dog baiting. Travel approximately 9 kilometres north from this first cattle grid to reach the entrance for the station stay. The entrance is marked on the left roadside with a homestead sign. There are signs on the right side of the road indicating when you are two and one kilometres away from the entrance. The entrance is on your right hand side.
